4 Sections: Open (1800+), Amateur (1799-1200), Beginner (U1200), Adults Only Section (must be at least 18
Adults may play any section they want, but the adults-only section is an option for those not wanting to play kids.
Players may play up in any section.

All sections are USCF Rated, Open section is also FIDE Rated.
This tournament will be closed to the first 140 players registered
Forester Open: 7 Rounds: 11/27 - 2pm - 7pm, 11/28 - 9am - 2pm - 7pm, 11/29 - 10am - 3pm.
$10,000 guaranteed
Forester Open:
Open: $2000-1000-500, Top U2000- $350
Amateur: $1400-600-300, Top U1500 - $250
Beginner: $1200-600-400
Adults only section: $800-$300 Top U1500- $300
The entry fee will increase $20 for each section after October 27th and $20 more on top after Nov 20th. On site registration will be the same entry fee as the late entry fee. On site registration will be from 12 - 1pm Nov 29th for all sections.
There is a play-up fee of $40 if a player has neither a monthly or active rating above the section posted ratings.
GM’s, WGM’s, and IM’s receive free entry if we are notified before November 12th. If you are a titled player and you miss the deadline, please email us and we may accommodate. Our email is BlakemanChess@gmail.com. All players on conditions will have conditions deducted from their prize money.
